The Reds legend, who retired in January 2011, has donated a swathe of photographs, medals, shirts and other memorabilia from his private collection. They'll be on show until October 2011.
“I’ve never had any football memorabilia or photographs on display at home so it’s strange for me to see it in a room like this,” he told reporters.
“It’s great that for the first time all my shirts and memorabilia can be seen together. I hope the fans enjoy them – the club and the museum have put on a great display and I feel really honoured.”
